Introduction to the papers hereunder about video reporting on missions using mobile phones.
This is a simple Web page that gives access to a series of downloadable papers about Video reporting on missions using mobile phones. This overview "entry-level series" has been prepared especially for missionaries abroad. Understand that I do not seek to justify or promote the use of mobile phones for video productions. Instead, My aim is to provide practical solutions for workers in the mission fields, taking into account their budgetary constraints, in order to enable them, in a realistic way, to produce videos of an entirely acceptable quality with the limited resources available to them, whether for posting on social media, video sharing platforms or for projection at church services.
Basic project management concepts for your video production
Project management is a more complex process than what is presented in this paper. That said, I've identified three essential elements for you production, namely; the description of the video to be produced as well as the resources and the time required to produce it

Your video script
Every successful video is based on a detailed and well written video script. Even short ones. It defines the video you want to produce. Working with a video script makes the difference between amateurish videos and top-quality ones.

From video preproduction to production with your mobile phone
(including a few words about postproduction)
Thorough preparation (being pre-production) and well-organized shooting sessions (being production), based on tried-and-tested principles and clear objectives, will ensure the success of your video project.

Equip your mobile phone to produce fully adequate video recordings
A properly equipped mobile phone as become a serious alternative to mirrorless cameras and camcorders to produce documentaries, reports and stories offering a more than satisfactory viewing experience to your viewers.

Your possible mirrorless camera: beyond producing videos with your mobile phone
Although this site is dedicated to mobile phone video production, in response to a question on the subject, I thought it would be helpful to present my personal experience with a new mirrorless camera.

I am Pierre
I worked at a nationwide broadcaster in Canada, in radio and TV production as well as in mantenance. After obtaining a bachelor's degree, I worked for an engineering department, for which I evaluated broadcast equipment, provided training, and gave presentations to organizations such as NAB, SMPTE and VidTrans. I am now retired and I devote myself to faith-based media production and training.
Disclamer
This website (with its papers) is not endorsed or sponsored by any product that are presented. Also, I do not represent or sell any of these products. As for supporting my initiative, beside prayers, I do not expect or sollicitate any form of financial support. Video reporting on missions using mobile phones is a free service (my small contribution in the world of faith-based media production).
